About Our Practice
Our practice is dedicated to being the local Lombard dentist that transforms your idea of what you’ll want to expect from your next six month checkup. The View From Your Chair
As your family dentist in Lombard, Dr. Blacher understands the importance of building a warm relationship with clients founded on trust and compassion. When our patients first come into our practice they get to know our team and take in the view of our beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a relaxing view of the neighboring pond and trees. Before any treatment ever begins we ensure that our patients are well informed, understand their options, and feel comfortable knowing their care is good hands.
Our Dentist Brett Blacher, DDS
Dr. Brett Blacher is a firm believer that dental health is a team effort. Having completed over 100 hours of continuing education every year, he takes pride in helping patients achieve the preventive care they need to keep their teeth healthy in between their dental visits, educating patients about their treatment options and helping them feel at ease no matter what treatment is needed. Dr. Blacher an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
After having met Dr. Pam Brosnan at the University of Illinois Dental School where they both studied, Dr. Blacher and Dr. Brosnan have been happily married and practicing dentistry for many years. Their family includes their son Brady, age 14, Shannon, age 11, and their dog, Dodger, who can be seen wagging his tail as the family goes on walks around the Lilac Village or while Dr. Blacher coaches his kids’ athletic teams. When he’s not busy enjoying helping his patients or spending time with his family, you might find Dr. Blacher playing golf or competing in a local triathlon.
Meet Dr. Pam Brosnan
Dr. Pam Brosnan is a native Chicagoian as she grew up in the Beverly area on the South Side of Chicago. Upon completing her undergraduate degree at St. Xavier University, Dr. Brosnan was named the Sister Margaret award winner given each year to the most outstanding pre-med student. Dr. Brosnan went on to get her DDS degree at University of Illinois Chicago. She hit the jackpot when Dr. Brett Blacher asked her to marry him and they have 2 beautiful children… Brady (14) and Shannon (11).
Meet Dr. Naimi Shah
Dr. Naimi Shah grew up and lived most of her childhood in Bloomington, IL. She went on to receive her Bachelors in Health Administration at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and received her dental education at Marquette University School of Dentistry. Dr. Shah strives to treat her patients like family to ensure they receive the highest quality of comprehensive care catered towards their needs. In addition, she is an active member of the Chicago Dental Society and has taken various continuing education courses to grow her knowledge in leadership and dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Shah enjoys hosting her family and friends for game nights and inspires to make food blogging her side hustle.

Mary
Office Manager
Mary is our office manager and patient advocate working tirelessly with you and your insurance company. She worked in the medical field for about 22 years, prior to moving over to dental 14 years ago. She comes from a large family and has 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 23 nieces/nephews. When not enjoying family functions, she likes to walk and work on projects around her house.
Amanda
Treatment Coordinator
Amanda is our new treatment coordinator. She was working as a dental assistant for the past 6 years in Westmont. Amanda and her husband have two sons. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Kristie
Dental Hygienist
Kristie, our dental hygienist, began her career as an assistant and went on to pursue an education in dental hygiene. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2005 and is certified in local anesthesia and periodontal laser therapy. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, quality dental care for each individual patient. Her free time is spent with family and she enjoys travel.
Carolyn
Dental Hygienist
Carolyn is a 2011 graduate from College of Dupage Dental Hygiene Program. She takes pride in providing exceptional patient care with gentle cleanings and addressing individual needs and concerns. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors and playing cello for the Elmhurst Symphony.
Shannon
Dental Hygienist
Shannon is one of the dental hygienists here at the office. She graduated from the College of DuPage dental hygiene program and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in healthcare management from Concordia University. She takes pride in building positive relationships with patients and providing quality care. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time outside and lounging with her dog, Bandit.
Lisa
Dental Hygienist
Lisa graduated from Loyola Dental Hygiene School and has worked in Switzerland and Florida, as well as her home state of Illinois. She enjoys building relationships with patients while putting them at ease with a little humor and a smile. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, and traveling.
Melissa
Lead Dental Assistant
Melissa is our Lead Dental Assistant. Formerly a preschool teacher, she began her career in dentistry in 2020. Melissa is certified in Coronal Polishing and Sealant placement and trained in itero intraoral digital scanning. She uses her calm and gentle personality to make patients feel comfortable and relaxed in the chair. Melissa has a love for animals (esp sloths!) and nature. On weekends you can catch her attending concerts or bowling in a league with her husband.
Gianna
Dental Assistant
Gianna is a dental assistant here at Brett Blacher DDS, she came here not knowing what she wanted to do in her future and now she will be attending hygiene school at COD. When she is not working, she enjoys going to the gym, working out and spending time with her two dogs Moose and Nala. You could always catch her singing out loud to the music playing in the office!

Dental Receptionist
Amy is one of our dental front desk receptionists. She is an HIM graduate, working in healthcare for 25 years. Amy and her husband have three kids, a son-in-law and a puppy named Miso! Amy enjoys going on vacations with her family, loves cooking, eating good food, and watching romcoms.
Amya
Dental Assistant
Amya is one of the assistants here at the office. Passionate about dentistry, she joined the team shortly after graduating from Lake Forest College with her Bachelors Anthropology and Biology. She is certified in Coronal Polishing and Sealant placement and trained in itero intraoral digital scanning. In her free time, she enjoys roller skating and trying new foods.

Treatment Coordinator
Charlene has been in the dental field for over 25 years. She started as a Dental Assistant. She has been with our office for 4 years and is our Treatment Coodinator. In her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
